This module will enable you to

  • Describe the objective of the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA)
  • Outline key legislative amendments to the TASA
  • Discuss how changes to the Code of Professional Conduct will be made in future
  • Highlight further aspects of reform that are subject to consultation

About the module

New legislative measures have been introduced following recommendations put forward by a 2019 Independent Review of the Tax Practitioners Board and as a result of more recent developments concerning the government’s response to the PwC Australia matter.

This short course offers an overview of those legislative measures, both proposed and recently enacted within the tax regulatory landscape.
