This module will enable you to

  • Discuss the key changes proposed by AASB 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements
  • Identity the groups of entities subject to the new sustainability reporting rules
  • Describe when each group will phase into the sustainability reporting regime
  • Understand the proposal to combine the Australian Accounting Standards Board, Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and the Financial Reporting Council into a single entity

About the module

This short course provides a snapshot of the latest financial and climate reporting developments that advisers should be across, including new accounting standard AASB 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements.

We also look at consolidated entity disclosure statements and details around the phase-in of the new sustainability reporting regime.
