This module will enable you to

  • Outline key legislative amendments to the TASA more broadly
  • Discuss the key changes to the promoter penalty laws
  • Highlight how a breach of the Code of Professional Conduct may be reported

About the module

Recent legislative changes have been introduced to improve the tax regulatory landscape by implementing recommendations from a 2019 Independent Review of the Tax Practitioners Board and to address the Government's response to the PwC Australia matter.

This short course will walk you through what you need to know, covering amendments contained within the Treasury Laws Amendment (2023 Measures No. 1) Act 2023 and the Treasury Laws Amendment (Tax Accountability and Fairness) Act 2024.
